Short answer Tailor Brands is a business-formation platform with an AI logo maker: its system generates logos in under a minute and you customise one yourself. Its US LLC plans ($0, $199 or $249 a year, plus state fees) list “8 free logos”, and high-resolution files come with a paid branding subscription. Logomint is a logo design service: a senior designer from our team creates your logo for a one-off €129, €199 or €299, with first concepts within 48 hours. Tailor Brands suits founders who want an LLC, a website and a quick logo in one account. Logomint suits founders who want an original logo made by a person.
Logomint is our own service, so we’ve kept this comparison to facts you can check. Every Tailor Brands fact below comes from Tailor Brands’ own pages (pricing, logo maker, terms of service and help centre), checked on 15 October 2026, with links at the end.

Price: a logo inside a plan or a subscription
Tailor Brands’ pricing page doesn’t sell a logo on its own. There are two routes.
The logo maker with a branding subscription. You can make a logo and download a low-resolution version for free. Tailor Brands’ help centre says that to fully own the rights to your logo you take a Basic, Standard or Premium subscription, billed monthly, yearly or every two years. Prices appear only inside your account, so we haven’t quoted them. Its terms say subscriptions renew automatically, with charges up to 30 days before renewal.
The logo inside an LLC plan. The pricing page lists US LLC formation plans: Lite at $0, Essential at $199 a year and Elite at $249 a year, all plus state fees. Each lists “8 free logos” among its branding tools, alongside a free domain for a year and a DIY website, but doesn’t say which logo files those include. Every plan also starts a bookkeeping trial that costs $39 a month after 30 days unless you cancel.
Tailor Brands showed prices in dollars when we checked; its terms say the currency depends on your location.
At Logomint, you pay once: €129, €199 or €299, with no subscription. Every plan includes transparent, vector, printable and source files. Premium adds brand guidelines, stationery design, a 3D mockup and a social media kit.
Without public branding plan prices, we can’t say which is cheaper for a logo with vector files.
Who (or what) designs your logo
Tailor Brands’ logo maker page says it “uses AI to create custom logos in just a few clicks”, in less than a minute, without pre-made templates. Its help centre describes the steps: you describe your business, choose a name-based, initial-based or icon-based logo, select three fonts, then browse the generated logos and customise colours, fonts and layout.
The help centre is candid about the limits: the editor may not allow highly artistic, custom creations, most logo fonts support English characters only, and names must be under 30 characters. It also says Tailor Brands doesn’t create logos on behalf of users, so the creative decisions are yours.
At Logomint, a senior designer from our team creates your logo from your brief. We don’t use AI to generate logos. The trade-off is time: you wait up to 48 hours for first concepts rather than a minute.
Originality, copyright and trademarks
Tailor Brands’ terms (last updated 8 January 2026) say it does not review your logo for intellectual property infringement and that each logo is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. You, in turn, confirm that the logo and your use of it don’t violate anyone else’s rights.
The editor uses only fonts, icons and elements from Tailor Brands’ own library, and the terms don’t say those icons are reserved for you once you buy.
For trademarks, the logo maker’s FAQ says Tailor Brands offers a trademark service at an additional cost. Its terms add that it won’t review your application for legal compliance and isn’t responsible if it’s rejected.
There’s also AI authorship: the US Copyright Office has said AI output is only protected where a human has determined enough of its expressive elements. We explain how that interacts with trademarks in can you trademark an AI-generated logo.
At Logomint, your logo is created by a person for your brand, and you own it in full once the project is paid and delivered. Whichever route you take, run a trademark search before you file.
Files and ownership
The logo maker page lists vector EPS, SVG and PNG downloads. The help centre’s plan pages are more specific: Basic includes high-resolution JPG and PNG files with transparent and coloured backgrounds, while Standard and Premium add a vector EPS file for print.
Its terms say you own the rights to use the logo for commercial and non-commercial purposes, even after your subscription expires, on three conditions: you pay in full, comply with the terms and download it to your device. The help centre says that applies to files you’ve already downloaded, so download everything before you cancel. After a refund or chargeback, the terms give you 15 days to provide a valid payment method, or the rights in the logo pass to Tailor Brands.
Every Logomint plan includes a transparent logo, vector, printable and source files, and you own the final logo once your project is paid and delivered.
Edits and revisions
On Tailor Brands, you make the changes yourself, and the FAQ says you can edit your logos at any time. The help centre says you can’t adjust individual letters or modify icons beyond the options provided.
At Logomint, changes are made by your designer. Starter includes 2 revisions, and Growth and Premium include unlimited revisions. Final files arrive within 7 days.
Refunds and cancellation
Tailor Brands’ terms say that, to the maximum extent permitted by law and unless stated otherwise, all fees are non-refundable. Where a refund is issued, a $29 service fee is deducted, unless you overpaid or Tailor Brands failed to deliver, when it may waive the fee. You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing support before your renewal date; the help centre says branding plans stay active until the end of the billing cycle. To its credit, you can design and download a low-res logo for free first.
At Logomint, you can get a full refund before you approve a concept, and within 7 days of approving one as long as the final files haven’t been delivered. The details are in our refund policy.
